This research investigates the systemic synergies and inconsistencies resulting from the hybridization of digital storytelling and high-end artisanal craftsmanship, placing the empirical case study of Venice’s urban ecosystem at the center of the analysis. In a market environment marked by information saturation and overtourism dynamics, this thesis outlines the potential strategic repositioning of fine craftsmanship by leveraging the cognitive heritage of the lagoon territory. Through a cross-disciplinary approach, the study combines experiential marketing, the sociology of consumption, and territorial governance policies. By exploiting the paradigm of immersive consumption and the dramaturgical duality between frontstage and backstage, standard promotional dynamics are effectively disrupted. The analysis identifies process-oriented storytelling as a strategic asset for manufacturing, capable of legitimizing the authenticity of its offerings and certifying supply chain traceability. The applied section yields a detailed overview of the distribution channels and narrative levers employed by four historic Venetian workshops, based on an evaluation of their communicative effectiveness and capacity for user engagement. The thesis demonstrates how opening up the production "backstage" serves not only as a driver of brand exclusivity, but also as a prerequisite for a model of territorial governance. This approach helps mitigate the imbalances of overtourism, engage a conscious clientele, and revitalize Venice's manufacturing heritage toward new horizons of innovation and regeneration.

Abstract
This approach helps mitigate the imbalances of overtourism, engage a conscious clientele, and revitalize Venice's manufacturing heritage toward new horizons of innovation and regeneration.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
