Filosofia come forma di vita in Socrate e Kierkegaard

The paper aims to analyze the relationship between biography and philosophy in the figures of Socrates and Kierkegaard. From the perspective of the Greek philosopher, an initial work of source research was conducted, traversing Socratic historiography starting from Xenophon's writings, moving through Aristophanes' comedies, and finally concluding with a careful investigation carried out on Plato's books. Furthermore, with the support of Kierkegaard as an interpreter of Socrates, Socratic irony was highlighted and established as a point of discernment for identifying the "pure Socratic." Regarding the Danish philosopher, the research started from his biography and his fundamental relationships: the one with his father, with Regina Olsen, and with the priest Mynster. The research on Kierkegaard concluded with the demonstration that the philosopher places the individual and his existence at the center of philosophical reflection, as can be deduced from the analysis of the stages of existence. The result of the research is that in both Kierkegaard and Socrates, their biography is completely superimposable with their philosophy.

L'elaborato si propone di analizzare il rapporto tra la biografia e la filosofia nelle figure di Socrate e Kierkegaard. Dal punto di vista del filosofo greco si è fatto un lavoro iniziale di ricerca delle fonti, attraversando la storiografia socratica partendo dagli scritti senofontei, passando per le commedie di Aristofane e, infine, conclusa con un'attenta ricerca effettuata sui libri di Platone. Inoltre, con il supporto di Kierkegaard come interprete di Socrate è stata messa in luce l'ironia socratica ed è stata posto come punto di discernimento per l'individuazione del socratico puro. Per quanto riguarda il filosofo danese la ricerca è stato fatta a partire dalla biografia e dai suoi rapporti fondamentali: quello con il padre, con Regina Olsen e il prete Mynster. La ricerca su Kierkegaard è stata conclusa con la dimostrazione che il filosofo pone l'individuo e la sua esistenza al centro della riflessione filosofica, come è possibile evincere dall'analisi degli stadi dell'esistenza. Il risultato della ricerca è che in Kierkegaard e Socrate la biografia è totalmente sovrapponibile alla loro filosofia.
