«Un lungo respiro». Commento integrale alla 'trilogia padana' di Gianni Celati.

This thesis focuses on Gianni Celati's Po Valley trilogy: "Narratori delle pianure", "Quattro novelle sulle apparenze", and "Verso la foce". Through in-depth analysis, it highlights the new meditative and phenomenological approach of Celati's prose from the 1980s onwards, characterized by intense reflection on the relationship between language, experience, and landscape. The first chapter offers a historical and critical overview of Celati's formation and evolution from the 1960s to the 1980s, starting with his thesis on Joyce. It identifies the fundamental stages of his cultural growth, the influence of the authors he read and translated, and the contribution of critical essays, which accompanied and guided the stylistic and thematic metamorphosis that began in the 1980s. This is followed by a narratological analysis of the three books.

La presente tesi si concentra sulla trilogia padana di Gianni Celati: "Narratori delle pianure", "Quattro novelle sulle apparenze" e "Verso la foce". Attraverso un’analisi approfondita, si mette in luce il nuovo approccio meditativo e fenomenologico della prosa celatiana a partire dagli anni Ottanta, caratterizzato da una riflessione intensa sul rapporto tra linguaggio, esperienza e paesaggio. Il primo capitolo offre una panoramica storico-critica della formazione e dell’evoluzione di Celati dagli anni Sessanta agli anni Ottanta, partendo dalla sua tesi su Joyce. Vengono individuate le tappe fondamentali della sua crescita culturale, l’influenza degli autori letti e tradotti, nonché il contributo dei saggi critici, che hanno accompagnato e guidato la metamorfosi stilistica e tematica avviata negli anni Ottanta. Segue poi l'analisi narratologia dei tre libri.
