Applied Theatre, focusing on social and psychological aspects, is significant in integrating refugees and other minorities into society. Starting with a theoretical reflection on the therapeutic and socially inclusive dimensions of theatre, the study analyses two emblematic case studies in Berlin: Alrahallah Theatre and Cabuwazi Circus, two organisations that use theatre and circus arts as instruments of social transformation. The research methodology combines qualitative approaches, including interviews with key members of these organisations, analysis of materials provided by them, and an extensive review of the scientific and academic literature on applied theatre, circus therapy, and theatrical practices with refugees. The study examines the methodologies adopted in these contexts, the economic and structural challenges faced by the associations, and the critical issues surrounding the representation of migrants in theatrical discourse. Despite the obstacles identified, the findings underscore the capacity of applied theatre to challenge and reshape social and cultural dynamics, demonstrating its effectiveness as a tool for critical reflection, community engagement, and social intervention in contemporary society.
