Operational Research in Production Line Optimization: A Study on Project RefAIne

This thesis explores the application of Operational Research techniques with a focus on the case study of Project RefAIne, a practical example of this AI-driven approach that is taking place in norther Italy. The study examines how Operational Research introduce a layer of automation that can enhance factories decision-making and workflow capabilities by improving resource allocation in production lines, minimizing machines downtime and maximizing throughput.
