Plant Awareness Disparity (PAD) is a widely acknowledged problem in industrialized countries nowadays, especially among younger generations. This phenomenon encompasses a lack of attention, knowledge, interest and positive attitude towards the plants of one’s own environment. Nevertheless, studies have shown the effectiveness of environmental education programs in counteracting this tendency. The present research explored the impact of an intergenerational and place-based workshop on children’s knowledge and perceptions of plants in a homeschooling facility in the province of Padua.
