Un’indagine sulle motivazioni e i comportamenti di chi pernotta in Terraferma Veneziana. La scelta di un soggiorno a Noale

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the reasons that lead some travelers to choose to stay in suburban areas compared to the main destination of their stay. The analysis focuses on the specific case of Noale, in the Venetian Province, and its relationship not only with the historic center of Venice, but also with the tourist dynamics that affect the large tourist region defined by the attractiveness of the lagoon city. From a methodological point of view, an online questionnaire was administered to tourists staying overnight in the municipality under analysis and to operators of the accommodation, with the aim of describing on the one hand the reasons for the choice of tourists and on the other the point of view of the managers of accommodation facilities. The questionnaire, distributed in September, October and November 2024, has allowed to collect the experiences, feelings and suggestions of some guests and operators. Although the number of respondents is limited, interesting positions and elements have emerged to describe this type of tourist and some aspects for their profiling. Reflections on the results obtained can provide indications to strategies and actions implemented by the local Destination Management Organization.

La presente tesi si pone l’obiettivo di indagare le motivazioni e le ragioni che spingono alcuni viaggiatori a scegliere di pernottare in aree periferiche rispetto alla meta principale del proprio soggiorno. L’analisi focalizza l’attenzione sul caso specifico di Noale, in provincia di Venezia, e sulla sua relazione non solo con il centro storico di Venezia, ma anche con le dinamiche turistiche che riguardano l’ampia regione turistica definita dall’attrattività della città lagunare. Da un punto di vista metodologico è stato somministrato un questionario online ai turisti pernottanti nel comune oggetto di analisi e agli operatori della ricettività, con l’obiettivo di descrivere da un lato le motivazioni della scelta dei turisti e dall’altro il punto di vista dei gestori delle strutture ricettive. Il questionario, diffuso nei mesi di settembre, ottobre e novembre 2024, ha permesso di raccogliere le esperienze, le sensazioni e i suggerimenti di alcuni ospiti e operatori. Sebbene il numero di rispondenti sia limitato, sono emerse posizioni ed elementi interessanti per descrivere questa tipologia di turisti e alcuni aspetti per la loro profilazione. Le riflessioni sui risultati ottenuti possono fornire indicazioni alle strategie e alle azioni implementate dalla locale Organizzazione di Gestione della Destinazione.
