The purpose of this final dissertation is to analyze the trade fair system, with particular attention to Chinese trade fair events. The study explores the history of trade fair events, the reasons national and international trade fairs are used, the role of trade fairs in the firm’s communication strategy and how they support companies’ relationship building process. Afterwards, the thesis analyzes the history and the profile of China’s major exhibition centers, such as the well-known Canton fair. Finally, the thesis will conclude with a research that will analyze the impact of the current Covid-19 pandemic has had and will have on international trade fair events.
