The Business risk: internal strategies and external management through insurance contracts

In this paper I will point out the concept of risk, focusing on the Business risk and its composition. After this explanation, I will provide the main tools that can be used by organisations to face the business risk, and in particular I will discuss about the importance of the Enterprise Risk Management and the Insurance Management, which often are conducted by the same person. In the last chapter, thanks to some analysis conducted by organisations like FERMA and CINEAS, I will quantificate the presence of the Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Management in Italy and Europe. The purpose of this paper is to point out the importance of risk management in every organisation, not just for the prevention from risks, but also as a competitive advantage and a tool to improve the business.
