Da una piccola città al mondo: FabrianoInAcquarello

The thesis analyses the FabrianoInAcquarello festival, organised by the InArte association in the city of Fabriano. The research highlights the identity-building role of paper and the way in which it has contributed to the creation of an international network of watercolour artists from more than eighty countries, brought together to participate in the activities offered during the convention. It also examines the year-round programme developed by InArte. The core of the study focuses on the organisational and economic structure of the event and investigates how a festival founded in a small city has succeeded in establishing itself as an event of international significance.

La tesi analizza il festival FabrianoInAcquarello, organizzato dall’associazione InArte nella città di Fabriano. La ricerca evidenzia il ruolo identitario della carta e il modo in cui essa ha contribuito alla creazione di una rete internazionale di acquarellisti provenienti da oltre ottanta Paesi, riuniti per partecipare alle attività proposte durante il convegno. Viene inoltre esaminata la programmazione continuativa sviluppata da InArte durante l’intero anno. Il nucleo dello studio riguarda la struttura organizzativa ed economica della manifestazione e indaga come un festival nato in una città di dimensioni contenute sia riuscito ad affermarsi come evento di rilevanza internazionale.
