This thesis aims to analyze the main determinants of participation in academic conferences, with particular attention to the economic, organizational, and relational factors that influence researchers’ decisions to attend such events. Through a literature review, the study examines the role of elements such as participation costs, time availability, institutional support, networking opportunities, and the perceived quality of the event. The objective is to understand how these factors affect participants’ decision-making processes and to provide useful insights for making academic conferences more attractive and effective. The findings derived from the literature will then be applied to a real-world conference case study.

Through a literature review, the study examines the role of elements such as participation costs, time availability, institutional support, networking opportunities, and the perceived quality of the event. The objective is to understand how these factors affect participants’ decision-making processes and to provide useful insights for making academic conferences more attractive and effective. The findings derived from the literature will then be applied to a real-world conference case study.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
