The company’s operational model combines traditional craftsmanship with digital transformation initiatives, aiming to continuously improve efficiency and quality across all business areas. This thesis focuses on the optimization and modernization of an internal software tool used within the Direct Materials Purchasing department. The goal is to improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of the system through database and architectural redesign and development. Efficient purchasing processes are crucial in the motorcycle industry, where production cycles and supplier data accuracy and reliability directly impact delivery times and product quality. Therefore, improving internal digital tools has a tangible impact on Ducati’s operational performance. This is the result of an internship carried out from April 2025 to January 2026.
