CHINA'S DEVELOPMENT POLICIES IN THE POST-PANDEMIC ERA: WHAT HAS REALLY CHANGED

我的论文题目是《后疫情时代中国发展政策：真正发生了哪些变化》，主要探讨新冠疫情后影响中国发展的政策，以及该国如何在结束“清零政策”后重振国际地位。论文将分为五章： ● 第一章将剖析2023年前中国的社会经济背景，重点探讨2020-2022年间新冠疫情与清零政策对整体经济社会的深远影响。 ● 第二章聚焦“全面复工复产”政策实施后的失当决策， 我们将剖析为解除封锁所作决策是否过于仓促，并以国家经济复苏态势作结。 ● 第三章聚焦中国自2023年初启动的开放政策，重点关注三大交流领域：外商投资、贸易往来及人员流动。首段将阐述旨在吸引投资的自由贸易与合作协定。在贸易政策方面，我们将剖析中国与东盟、欧洲及美国等主要伙伴签署的核心协议。关于人员往来政策，将重点探讨重振中国旅游业的举措，例如短期免签入境政策。 ● 在第四章中，我们看到后疫情时代中国的内外战略实则是一枚双面硬币。一方面，这个国家在疫情阴霾笼罩的岁月后，展现出“新生”的姿态。另一方面，我们将看到一个未能吸取历史教训的国家——在“清零政策”之后，针对公民的审查与管控措施变得更为广泛且更加强大。 ● 第五章将基于第三章论述的核心维度（外商直接投资、商业与文化）探讨中国未来走向，尝试预测当前局势如何影响未来数年的全球发展格局。

The title of my thesis is “CHINA’S DEVELOPMENT POLICIES IN THE POST-PANDEMIC ERA: WHAT HAS REALLY CHANGED” and it will mainly deal with the policies that have influenced China's development after the Covid-19 pandemic, how the country managed to relaunch itself on the international scene at the end of the “Zero-Covid Policy”. My thesis will be divided into five chapters: ● In the first chapter, we are going to analyze the context in which China has been before 2023. It discusses the 2020-2022 period and the huge impact that Covid and Zero-Covid Policy has had on the economy and society as a whole ● The second chapter examines the mismanagement after the “grand reopening” from Zero-Covid Policy. We will analyze the decisions that were taken in order to end the Lockdown and whether they have been too hasty, and conclude it with the economic recovery of the country. ● The third chapter is dedicated to the open policies that China has begun to launch since the start of 2023, that focused on three specific fields of exchange: foreign investments, commerce and people. The first paragraph will underline the agreements of free trade and cooperation to reattract investments. As for commerce policies, we are going to analyze the most important agreements that the country has signed with its major partners, such as ASEAN, Europe and the USA. For people exchanges, we are going to see the policies that brought back tourism in China, such as the visa-free entry for short stays. ● In the 4th chapter we can see how, in reality, the foreign and internal strategies of post-Covid China have been a double-sided coin. On one hand, we can see a country that gave the impression of a “new” country after the dark years of Covid. On the other hand, we are going to see a nation that hasn’t learned from its past mistakes, and after the Zero Covid Policy brought more extensive and more powerful measures for censorship and control over the citizens. ● The fifth chapter will discuss the future of China by taking into consideration the three main aspects that characterized my thesis in Chapter 3: FDI, Commerce and Culture, trying to forecast how this situation may influence global developments in the future years.
