The wine industry is one of the most significant sectors of the global agri-food system and is currently facing major challenges related to environmental, economic, and social sustainability. This thesis aims to conduct a comparative analysis of sustainable practices within the wine industry in Italy and Australia, two countries that present contrasting traditions, geographical conditions, and institutional frameworks. The research combines a review of existing literature with a qualitative analysis based on direct interviews with wineries operating in both contexts. Specifically, it explores the strategies implemented to reduce environmental impact, promote the responsible use of natural resources, and strengthen competitiveness through sustainable business models. The comparative approach highlights similarities and differences between Italian and Australian practices, focusing on variables such as regulatory pressure, climate conditions, consumer demand, and the role of certifications. The expected outcomes include the identification of key factors that facilitate or hinder the transition toward sustainability, as well as the recognition of possible synergies and common pathways between the two contexts. Ultimately, the thesis seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping the adoption of sustainable practices in the wine industry and to provide insights valuable for companies, institutions, and stakeholders engaged in this sector.

Abstract
Ultimately, the thesis seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping the adoption of sustainable practices in the wine industry and to provide insights valuable for companies, institutions, and stakeholders engaged in this sector.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
