Paving the way to micromobility: the transport sector in the Green Deal and the new possibilities of moving

The dissertation will explore the different policies brought on by the Eurpean Union in the transport sector: in the first chapter a review of the strategies inside the Green Deal will be reviewed, by analysing the possible effect and the first outcome, focusing on road and rail transport. In the following chapter the focus will shift to alternative and greener transport methods, in particular local public transport, electric vehicle and zero emission vehicles (bycicle and walking); obstacles and enables will be investigated and, thanks to the experience during the internship, a deep analysis will be done on actual project of promotion of micro mobility. In the last and conclusive chapter the cycle tourism sector will be explored in depth, with particular attention to the potential positive impact in mountain areas.

La tesi esplorerà le diverse politiche attuate dall'Unione Europea nel settore dei trasporti: nel primo capitolo verrà esaminata una revisione delle strategie all'interno del Green Deal, analizzandone i possibili effetti e il primo risultato, concentrandosi sul trasporto stradale e ferroviario. Nel capitolo seguente l'attenzione si sposterà su metodi di trasporto alternativi e più ecologici, in particolare il trasporto pubblico locale, i veicoli elettrici e i veicoli a zero emissioni (bicicletta e a piedi); verranno indagati ostacoli e abilitazioni e, grazie all'esperienza maturata durante il tirocinio, verrà effettuata un'analisi approfondita di un progetto concreto di promozione della micromobilità. Nell'ultimo e conclusivo capitolo verrà approfondito il settore del cicloturismo, con particolare attenzione al potenziale impatto positivo nelle zone montane.
