This thesis examines the critical role of the cost of equity in business valuation, a key metric for investors and analysts in assessing the value of a company's stock. The study delves into the theoretical foundations of valuation, exploring various methods such as the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model and relative valuation. Through an empirical analysis, the research focuses on the specific case of DBA Group, utilizing regression analysis to determine the company's cost of equity and its evolution over time. The findings provide empirical evidence on the practical application of valuation principles. This work aims to contribute to the understanding of how theoretical valuation models are applied in real-world scenarios to arrive at informed investment decisions.
