The research explores the role of social organizations (社会组织 shehui zuzhi), in the development of inclusive education (融合教育 ronghe jiaoyu) for children with disabilities in China. The primary objective is to comprehend the operational mechanisms of social organizations operating within state-imposed constraints. The thesis adopts a qualitative methodology, including both primary and secondary research methodologies. The analysis of existing literature, information collected from the interview to the vice-director of Women de Jiayuan social organization (我们的家园残疾人服务中心 Women de Jiayuan Canjiren Fuwu Zhongxin) and direct observation reveals that social organizations, through continuous negotiations with the authorities, function as important actors in the implementation of inclusive education in China. These organizations provide more tailored assistances for children with disabilities and cultivate awareness of children's right to education. Nonethless, they face significant challenges, including shortage of financial and human resources.
