In particular, the paper explores the importance of sustainable fishing certifications, assessing their impact on business competitiveness and consumer choice. Through an analysis of the regulatory environment and strategies adopted by fishing companies, the challenges and opportunities related to the ecological and digital transition are highlighted. The paper also delves into the link between sustainability and internationalization strategies of fish companies, considering the growing weight of environmental responsibility in global markets. The results show how the adoption of sustainable and innovative practices can be a competitive advantage, fostering the growth of the sector in a context of increasing attention to environmental issues.
