This thesis investigates the dynamics of industrial clusters by integrating theoretical perspectives with empirical insights drawn from two contrasting contexts: the Montebelluna footwear cluster and Vietnam's textile and footwear clusters. It explores foundational theories, recurring features, and the critical role of procurement and supply chain management in shaping cluster performance. Moreover, the study traces the historical evolution, key players, and innovation strategies that have defined the Montebelluna cluster's position in the global supply chain, while simultaneously examining the structural characteristics, market trends, and growth strategies of Vietnamese clusters through qualitative insights from local suppliers. By comparing the industrial organization, innovation, and supply chain configurations of these clusters, the research uncovers both their individual strengths and weaknesses, ultimately advancing our understanding of how regional industrial ecosystems evolve and interact in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Abstract
By comparing the industrial organization, innovation, and supply chain configurations of these clusters, the research uncovers both their individual strengths and weaknesses, ultimately advancing our understanding of how regional industrial ecosystems evolve and interact in a rapidly changing global landscape.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
