In the evolution of the city, so-called ‘hybrid spaces’, local realities that host projects related to art, culture, meeting, food, commerce and associations, have become widespread in recent years. This thesis aims to define these socio-cultural spaces, how they originated and how they are organised, in the context of cultural policies aimed at urban regeneration, and to analyse their role on the territory. In particular, we will consider the case of Porto Burci in Vicenza, a project that originated in 2018 involving associations, volunteers and employees engaged in the management of the space, and in the organisation of events, courses and training activities. The aim is to assess its impact on the territory, considering economic, social, cultural and environmental criteria.
