In this scenario primarily moved by the online format and by organizational trends, live music plays a decisive role in generating relevant profits and shaping the overall industry success. It is the case of tailored mega cultural phenomena that connect audiences to artists in a unique and memorable way. Through this thesis it has been evinced the high dynamism of the sector within the broader music industry, highlighting the organizational strategies, a recall for a better defined classification and the understanding of the business models behind the realization of these events. To better understand that, an analysis of three selected case studies based on the Italian market has been conducted. The studies will present important insights gained from experts in the field on the different methodologies for which festivals in the format of a boutique, a calendar and a mega-event are organized and thoughtfully managed. This is done in order to promote a successful final product able to generate an unforgettable experience for attendees and a profitable organization of the events.
