The thesis' aim is to analyse the main financial instruments which are used in the context of the Green Finance. Green finance is, in fact, also a bridge which is able to link environmental industries to financial institutions and investors. Therefore, this thesis aspires to study the available financial instruments or services flowing into sustainable development projects and initiatives, or into environmental products which are supporting the development of a more sustainable economy. In addition to this, the focus of the study is to determine with an empirical application whether the use of asset-backed securities (ABS), in the context of the solar industry, is able to deliver satisfactory economic results and whether this instruments could help the development of the Green Finance.

Abstract
