The role of Capital Market Union in the Pan-European Pension Product

One of the most important initiative taken so far within the Capital Market Union is the proposal for a Pan-European Pension Product (PEPP). The demographic challenges, the fragmentation in private pension products available, the inadequacy of state-base pensions are fostering the development of an European pension product. PEPP will combine transparency, profitability, quality and security of the investment as well as it contributes significantly to develop a Capital Markets Union.
