China's film industry is now the biggest one in the world. In recent years has faced a deep crisis and in order to overcome it, it has been rejuvenated and innovated, through the approval of new regulations and preferential policies. The paper investigates the regulatory environment of the Chinese film industry and analyzes how both domestic and foreign films are produced and distributed within mainland China. The last part of this paper is devoted to the study of the Wanda Group,a Chinese industrial conglomerate that has the leadership in the Chinese film industry.
