Abstract

The goal of the thesis is to implement a QKD network where a message exchange from node A and node B, with FSO link, is possible only every hop on the path connecting the two nodes has a quantum key generated with the BB84 protocol and subsequently analyze its performance. To do so it was used an open source quantum simulator written in Python called SeQUeNCe (Simulator of Quantum Network Communication) developed by Argonne National Laboratory.
