In this experimental study, I will examine the relationship between purchase intention and luck perception under uncertainty of weather conditions. This study will be conducted in order to include uncertainty and unpredictability as weather always brings some dose of risk and one cannot influence weather conditions. It is noticeable that weather can play a very important role when it comes to vacations. With this experiment, I want to examine whether people who have a stronger belief in luck will be more risk-prone and proceed with their planned vacation or they will cancel it due to this. The main purpose of this experiment design is to investigate whether those who have a stronger belief in luck are also those who proceeded with their vacation plan or are more risk averse and decided to cancel the trip out of charge. This will give an important insight into people's decision-making process. Previous research suggests that risk and unpredictability plays an important role when it comes to decision-making process. The experiment was conducted through online survey. The survey was distributed to young people through student portal. Then, I used correlation model and Chi-square test to investigate significant relationship between perception of luck and decision-making process.
