Digital agri-food: the Digital Economy within the Agri-food Sector in China

The research aims at analysing the digitalization in the agri-food sector in China. The first chapter will give an overview of the digital economy in China, then an overview of the Agri-food sector in China will be provided, and finally we will analyze what digitalization means within the agri-food sector and the policies that the Chinese government issued for the development of the digital agri-food. The second chapter will provide a literature review of the existing research on the topic, focusing on the factors and the development of the digital economy in China, and the digitalization of the agri-food sector in China. Finally, the third chapter is dedicated to the research that aims at analyzing the actual level of digitalization of the agrifood sector in China in the period 2019-2021.
