Social innovation and social entrepreneurship: a business analysis of an Italian social innovative start-up (Sea the Change srl).

Nowadays the entire world is facing important social problems that need to be addressed in order to live in a better scenario with all the best possible conditions. The existence of social enterprises and the people who run them, which are the social entrepreneurs, have become fundamental to cope with these specific types of problems. Therefore, the scope of this thesis is to highlight the relevance of this phenomenon, understanding the characteristics and underlining the main challenges. In order to better explain this phenomenon, I decided to talk about a present example of an innovative and social start-up, whose name is Sea the Change srl. Specifically, this paper aims to analyse the business model of the described start up by conducting a semi-structured interview inside the organization, and research about related work to social entrepreneurship, the figure of the social entrepreneur and social innovation.
