The aim of this thesis is to provide an analysis of gender inequality in healthcare out-of-pocket expenditure. Given the potential adverse effects of OOP payments on healthcare users, such as delay in treatment and foregone medical care, it's essential to deepen this research topic. In particular, attention will be directed to European countries that have participated in "The Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe" (SHARE).
