Ethnobotanical field research with a focus on wild plants was conducted in 7 villages in two different regions in Kurdistan of Iran among Kurdish people, through 27 interviews with local people of those villages. 49 identified wild food plants have been collected through the fieldwork. The comparison of using the wild plants in these two Kurdish regions and the differences in using the wild plants is the focus of this thesis. Collecting information regarding cultural differences, and challenging issues for global warming in are also conducted during the in-person interviews. Preservation methods and how to live in peace with our environment is beneficial for creating safer, cleaner, and more sustainable life habit and food resources which can be learned from different ethnic groups with different religions.
